The First Citizens Award recipients will be honored at our Founders Day Kickoff Reception at the Abraham Lincoln Museum on June 30th, 2011.     

CATEGORY I

Distinguished Citizens Award 


The City of Mt. Pulaski has always been blessed to have citizens who have stepped forward to make our community a better place to live. From our beginning in 1836 to the present there have been those individuals who have given of their time, energies and foresight to make the community of Mt. Pulaski one of the outstanding small cities in Illinois.


This honor will be awarded to five of our local citizens on the basis of his or her community involvement, influence and dedication of time and energies in making our community a better place to live. 


This award may be given to one of our citizens who are today giving of their time and talents or to a citizen of yesteryear upon whose efforts our community has benefited.

CATEGORY II 
Distinguished Alumni Award 

The community of Mt. Pulaski along with all the communities whose children who have attended school here have always taken great pride in their schools and are deeply committed to the education of those students. From the first graduating class in 1888 many of our graduates have made their mark across the country and the world.


This distinguished award will be given to five of our Mount Pulaski High School alumni based not only on their professional achievements in their chosen vocation, but also on their dedication and commitment to endeavors and accomplishments outside their chosen field.


All alumni of Mount Pulaski High School are eligible for the nomination whether their accomplishments impact their chosen fields today or did so in the past.
